Japan's Shueisha to Launch JC.COM Manga Book on Friday
posted on by Egan Loo
2009's third issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine has announced on Thursday that Shueisha will launch its new JC.COM manga anthology on December 19. Range Murata, the artist best known for the Robot anthology and for his character designs in Blue Submarine No. 6 and Last Exile, revealed on his website that he will draw the cover of JC.COM.
The other featured artists include Shōji Satō (Highschool of the Dead), Tetsuro Ueyama (in his first manga in the three years since Sekiganjū Mitsuyoshi and Metal Guardian Faust), Sakura Takeuchi (Boku no Marie, Chocotto Sister), the team-up of France's J.D. Morvan and Toru Terada (Le Petit Monde, pictured at right), and Kamui Fujiwara (Dragon Quest manga, Hellhounds: Panzer Cops).
Despite the implications of the title, JC.COM will be a print publication. While the first volume will ship on December 19, subsequent volumes will ship on an irregular schedule thereafter.
