Collins Design Prints 500 Essential Anime Movies Book

Collins Design, an imprint of the HarperCollins publishing house, will release the 500 Essential Anime Movies book on August 26 in the United States after the book was published in the United Kingdom this week. British journalist and author Helen McCarthy edited this guide to the best anime films and videos that are available in English. It will be organized by genre, in addition to various top-ten lists. A companion volume, 500 Essential Graphic Novels, is already available. In that earlier book's 528 pages, comics scholar Gene Kannenberg and other contributors present profiles of what they consider to be the top American, European, and Japanese graphic novels in ten different categories. Stone Bridge Press published a similar anime book called Anime Classics ZETTAI! 100 Must-See Japanese Animation Masterpieces.
