Shirodaira, Mizuno's Spiral Alive Mystery Manga to End (Updated)

Prequel to Spiral manga, anime to end next month in Japan
Writer Kyou Shirodaira and artist Eita Mizuno will end their Spiral Alive mystery manga in the June issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine, which goes on sale on May 12. The prequel series reveals more about the eerie group called the Blade Children that first appeared the original Spiral manga and anime series. Spiral: Alive began in Monthly Gangan Wing magazine before moving to the main Shonen Gangan magazine in 2006. Yen Press is publishing the original Spiral manga in North America, and Funimation released the anime version.
