Death Note guide returns manga to bestseller list
Death Note: How to Read 13, a companion volume to Viz Media's now-concluded Death Note series, is the only manga-related work on USA Today's list of America's top 150 best-selling books for the week of February 18 to February 24. Ranking at #127, this book contains character biographies, a story guide, production notes, interviews with Death Note's writer and artist (Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, respectively), and bonus manga pages. Even though it is priced US$5.00 more than most manga that are released in English, it is the first manga or manga-related work to reach bestseller status since the week of January 21-27, when the most recent volume of Naruto ranked at #135.
