posted on by Egan Loo
Strong opening for first new volume in more than two months

Naruto Volume 28, the newest in Masashi Kishimoto and Viz Media's ninja manga series, immediately broke into USA Today's list of America's top 150 best-selling books for the week of February 25 to March 2 at #73. Naruto Volume 27, which was released simultaneously with volumes 25 and 26 in December, ultimately was a best-seller for a total of seven weeks. Of the 28 volumes that Viz has now published, 25 have been among the country's top 150 books for at least one week.

Volume 28 officially shipped on March 4 and advances the storyline of the manga by two years. For future volumes, the series will return to a bimonthly publishing schedule.
