Lego to Create Speed Racer Toys

Four racing playsets planned for release in April, before live-action movie
Warner Brothers Consumer Products has granted The Lego Group the rights to develop and manufacture "constructible racing playsets" based on the Speed Racer car-racing brand and the upcoming Speed Racer live-action movie. The movie is set to be released in theaters on May 19. Lego will create four separate Speed Racer sets under its Lego Racers brand. The sets will be priced from US$19.99 to US$59.99 and will include Lego minifigures of the major characters in the Speed Racer story, such as the main character Speed, his brother Racer X, his girlfriend Trixie, and the chimpanzee mascot Chim-Chim. Lego has previously released lines of sets based on Warner Brothers' Batman and Harry Potter franchises.
