Namco & Bandai Closer Now To Merger

Shareholders of Bandai and Namco give approval of merger.
This past week, Namco shareholders followed the Bandai shareholders in voting to approve a full merger between the companies. The merger will create one of the largest game and toy companies in the region, and one of the largest in the world. Full details of how the companies will work together expected to be announced in September. Namco Bosses are assuring staff and shareholders that the merger will not be a catalyst for staff layoffs, as the business sectors of the companies do not overlap. There has been no word as to how the merger will affect the North American operations of the two respective companies. Currently, Namco is based out of Northern California while Bandai is based in the Southern California.
