Regarding the auction to become a manga character we reported on yesterday, the actual auction is here.
The auction winner wins the right to have his likeness inserted as a character in Shinji Mizushima's long-running baseball manga Abusan.
So far, as of 7:30 am September 4th Japan time, there have been 621 bids, with the current high bid at 2,965,000 (US$29,855). The auction started on August 30th and ends on September 6th at 10:43pm (JST).
There is also a Jacket with a sketch, signed and autographed by Shinji Mizushima. Current bidding on this item is at 37,500 yen (US$340), both auctions started and end at the same time.
Other Abusan items, including an autographed baseball mit and Mizushima's baseball jersey will be auctioned off later this month.
