posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Sunrise has set December 15th as the opening date for Inu Yasha movie.
The movie's Japanese name is "Inu Yasha: Toki O Koeru Omoi", which translates as "Inu Yashu: Love which transcends time."
A number of trailers for the movie (all in Japanese), as well as the outline and production details are available on Anime Daisuki.
The movie is based on the ongoing Manga series by Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikoku). There is already a TV series based on the Manga which has completed two seasons and is set to enter its third, very few Anime TV series currently make it into a second season.
The Manga is available in North America from Viz, Viz also announced that they had licenced the TV series at Anime Expo 2001 but a release date has yet to be set.
