AnimeVillage.com's Saber Marionette J tapes defective

While Bandai's AnimeVillage.com began to ship tapes last week, early recipients noted that the quality of Saber Marionette J was extremely poor, suffering from numerous audio drop-outs and glitches. It is unknown how many tapes were affected, but an AnimeVillage representative told ANN by phone that "some of the tapes were defective, and they have been sent back [to the duplicator]." They recieved problem-free copies yesterday, and those that recieved defective ones can return them to AnimeVillage.com for a replacement of the same tape. AnimeVillage.com can be reached at 1-877-77ANIME. This number is toll-free. All other AnimeVillage releases seem to be unaffected.
