Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yōko Hikasa Lead Code:Breaker Cast

This year's seventh issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced the two main cast members in the Code:Breaker "dark hero" television anime on Wednesday:

Nobuhiko Okamoto (Blue Exorcist's Rin) as Rei Ōgami
Yōko Hikasa (K-ON's Mio) as Sakura Sakurakōji

Before creating the original Code:Breaker manga in 2008, Akimine Kamijyō launched another manga that inspired an anime, Samurai Deeper Kyo. Starting in the current issue, Weekly Shōnen Magazine will have a regular "Code:Breaker Anime Tsūshin" feature to relay the latest news about the anime. The 17th volume of the manga will ship on January 17.

Del Rey Manga published two volumes of the manga in North America in 2010 (before Kodansha USA took over Del Rey's manga titles) and described the plot as follows:

Rei seems like an affable transfer student to everyone around him, but quirky high school beauty Sakura sees his true face as a terrifying vigilante - a "nonexistent" Code:Breaker who cannot be touched by the law. And since Sakura has just witnessed the effects of his deadly blue flame, she's slated to be the next to burn!
