Trailer highlights 70+ characters, 65+ minutes of anime footage, new moves
On Wednesday, the European arm of Namco Bandai Games began streaming a promotional video for its Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations (Naruto Shippūden: Narutimate Storm Generations) fighting game. The video highlights the enhancements in the latest entry in the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series that has sold over 8.7 million copies worldwide. CyberConnect2's new game now has over 70 characters in its roster and has over 65 minutes of new anime sequence from the television anime's Studio Pierrot.
Like in previous games in the series, players can host online tournaments with other people, in addition to the standalone story mode. However, the updated battle system now features faster gameplay as well as new moves and battle modes from later installments of the Naruto storyline.
The game will ship in Japan on February 23, in the United States on March 13, and in Europe on March 30. People who pre-order the game in Europe will receive a soundtrack CD with "the first official rap single of Killer Bee."
