RecoChoku Poll: Final Fantasy Songs Ranked

On Friday, the Japanese mobile music website RecoChoku posted the results of its survey on which theme and background songs from the Final Fantasy game franchise voters liked the best. The poll was conducted October 4 to October 18 to celebrate the Final Fantasy Type-0 game, which will ship in Japan on October 27, and the Final Fantasy XIII-2 game, which will ship in Japan on December 15.
The top results from 938 votes by the self-selected respondents are:
Theme Song
- 1st place - "Suteki Da ne" by RIKKI (Final Fantasy X)
- 2nd place - "1000 no Kotoba" by Kumi Koda (Final Fantasy X-2)
- 3rd place - "Eyes On Me" by Faye Wong (Final Fantasy VIII)
Background Music
- 1st place - "To Zanarkand" by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy X)
- 2nd place - "One-Winged Angel" by Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy VII)

Square Enix began streaming a promotional video for the Final Fantasy Type-0 original soundtrack on October 11. The most recent trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 began streaming on October 13.
RecoChoku conducted a similar poll in June to determine fans' favorite Fullmetal Alchemist anime franchise songs. The website also held surveys this year to find out which anime character fans would like to marry and which anime character they would like to give Valentine's Day chocolate.
