Ranma 1/2, Speed Racer Get Pachinko/Pachislo Games

The game maker Sankyo Fever announced a new pachinko gambling machine based on Rumiko Takahashi's 1987 manga and 1989 television anime Ranma 1/2, as well as a pachislo (pachinko-parlor slot machine) based on the 2005 television anime Sousei no Aquarion last week. Sankyo has already made machines based on Captain Herlock, Tiger Mask, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, and the J-rock band X Japan.
Pachinko machines utilize metal balls to cascade down a series of pins. Depending on where the balls land, the player wins money. The machines are popular in Japan, which is home to many pachinko parlors.
Otaku USA Editor-in-Chief has posted photos from a recent event celebrating the launch of a new pachislo machine based on the 1967 television anime Mach Go Go Go (Speed Racer). Aristocrat is creating and distributing the machines.
