Store opened in 2001, was bought by Broccoli USA in 2001, shut down in 2007
The Omocha Box store opened in Los Angeles in 2001 and was acquired by Broccoli International USA in 2002. The store hosted several guests during its existence, including Mari Iijima, Kunihiko Ikuhara, and Koge Donbo; however, the store was shut down in 2007 during Broccoli's decline, which eventually ended with the Broccoli International USA's closing in 2008.
This video was reposted by singer/voice actress Karrie Shirou, who dubbed the commercial after winning a competition at Anime Expo 2001. Shirou currently plays Mikuru Asahina in the "ASOS Brigade" promotional video series for Bandai Entertainment's Haruhi Suzumiya anime releases, and will appear in a similar video campaign for Bandai's release of K-ON! as protagonist Yui Hirasawa.
