According to the manga-ka, Arima is based on Kimura Takuya when he was a teenager (source: Tsuda Diary from tankoubon vol.4). KimuTaku is a member of SMAP, the most popular boy-band in Japan. He has been voted No.1 for 抱かれたい男 ("the guy I wanna sleep with") 10 years in a row.
The flowers in the background of volume one are tulips, which represents "passion." The original manga cover showed Yukino holding a bouquet of tulips instead of having them in the background.
The flowers in the background of volume two are sunflowers, which represents "adoration." The original manga cover showed Souichiro holding two sunflowers instead of having them in the background.
