Trivia:

Credited for starting the "Super Sentai" genre of TV shows that eventually went on to be spawned into Power Rangers, Gatchaman was homaged in the 1991 Super Sentai show "Jetman" with extremely similar characters and mechanical designs, the most blatant being "Condor Gai", a near exact replica of Condor Joe.
