Believe this one might be based on the upcoming PSP FPS Code Age. Another Square game/anime development and I'm glad to see it. Hope it turns out well.

Correction: That PSP games is called Coded Arms and is from Konami so i'm wrong. The curse of similar names.

Don't the Square people ever check similarity in names when making stuff?

If this leads to manga based on Square or Enix RPG, than I'm all for it.

It's a PS2 RPG directed by Yusuke Naora (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X). Here's some info from Magic Box:

Square Enix revealed a new game title in the special DVD that came with Dragon Quest VIII, the game is called Code Age, which is being directed by Yusuke Naora (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, X). The game will have toonshaded graphics similar to Unlimited SaGa and Romancing SaGe: Minstrel Song. The story begins with a scene at the sea, with the following narration: (source: GameSpot)

Deep, deep into the sea where light cannot reach,
The environment is severe beyond imagination.
One fish evolved its eyes to seek for light.
Another fish evolved its mouth to seek food and to survive.
Mankind escaped from evolution by crawling out of the water and reshaping its environment.
Everyone was dreaming of a bright future,
But that was abandoned by a new world order.
This is a story about people that were once human.
This is a story about people that continued to be human.
Code Age.
[Our] heart was screaming,
Evolve if you want to survive.
[Our] instincts were screaming,
Leave the strongest gene.
Show off your style.

And some screen caps from said DVD.

Square Enix must really be expecting a lot out of this if if they're doing a manga version which I'm sure will later become an anime if successful enough. I know I'm looking forward to the game.

I really do hope its good. Bad manga aren't just right.
I haven't quite read anything about it. What's it about?
