I was just wondering where exactly are these review guidelines posted.

Ah, thank you. One more question. When are the sample reviews due? I'll send them in as soon as possible, but I'd like to know a general amount of time that I have in doing them.

Good Question. I'd like to start getting the reviews in as soon as possible, but for a deadline, I think July 1st is pretty reasonable. -t Last edited by Tempest on Wed Jun 16, 2004 5:23 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Reviewers must be residents of the United States (preferred) or Canada. Last edited by Tempest on Wed Jun 16, 2004 5:23 pm; edited 1 time in total |

One more thing:
Is it OK to send a review of an older anime title? Or would you rather we review a brand new show? |

Anything. Reviews of titles not already covered by ANN would be best though, because that way, if the review is good, we can use it. But that won't have any effect on the actual selection of the reviewers. |

This is probably a stupid question but I'm that kind of person. Is there an actual guideline or form we have to download or use for the application or is it just the basic information like name, address, and social security number?

Definitely not a stupid question. Basic info is fine. No social security number required-- just name, e-mail, and address. |

Name, e-mail address, age, where you live (justthe city), previous writing experience if any, number of years watching anime. |

However, yes we will be providing screeners to the reviewers. At first it would be a selected number of screeners a month, and after working with the reviewers for a couple months we would move to have them added to the screener lists of various companies. Some companies won't do this, so in those cases ANN would continue to provide the screeners. |

What exactly are screeners? Are they the actual retail DVD or some kind of different package?

Eh... Additional question. As to the reviewing of manga. Is it possible to submit your sample being a review of a manga? And, if so, is there a different set of quide lines for the review? Or, should the review be done the same as an anime, only modifying some (I.E. Animation quality can be applied, as well as any CGI, but Dub and Sub would obviously be difficult barring having the original manga.)?
Thanks. |

Another question: Would you rather have an applicant review a DVD from store shelves with an english dub, or would a fansub (the show, not the subbing quality) be acceptable as well?
