Ugh, really. They're not even going to bother to dub it? It's not like it's a franchise that's never been done before, we have in game voices already.

Can anyone tell me if they will be selling this through Amazon as well? Or is it strictly through Righstuf?

It's not dubbed because this is an import release. It is NOT a North American release.

You can probably expect a regular release down the line. AoA has never kept stuff import-only besides the format they're on, save for the Rurouni Kenshin OVA's and movie which had been released multiple times on DVD by ADV in the past.

Strictly Rightstuf and Aniplex USA's retailers like usual. Amazon has never been allowed to sell Aniplex USA products, you only get third-party sellers for Aniplex USA products on Amazon.

Damn those prices! Suddenly my heart fell out of my chest I really want to see this film. Chances are it might be better buying from TRSI because you'll get a better deal than Amazon. Though I could be wrong. But if this is imported like the way Garden or Sinners was, then TRSI would be folk's best bet.

Reading comprehension thrown out the window.

As much as I am tempted to get it, I think I will wait for a DUB. This is an import release, hence I highly suspect a DUB down the line--and maybe a cheaper price. The only thing Im a bit bummed about is that I'll miss out on this awesome packaging Sad

Damn, I was so willing to buy an Aniplex release because I love Persona 3, then I saw that price tag. $60 for a 90 minute movie, really? I guess in this case the extra $20 would be worth it if I were planning to get it but now... I just can't possibly justify this, I can't find it in me. If they ever released all three movies together in a bundle or something, maybe ten I'd be willing to pay around $100-$120 for all three, but man, I just can't. Thus does my first ever Aniplex purchase still not happen.

Much as I'd love to see it, that price is just too insane for the standard edition, even with it having two versions of the movie. That's like the price of a whole 26 episode series, not a pair of movies.

And Blu-ray only? Bleh.

Sigh. Not really surprised, but still disappointing. Makes me wonder why they gave P4 to Sentai in the first place. That said, the collector's edition actually is a pretty good deal so hopefully when/if the movie gets dubbed then they will have a similar package going for it since I'm definitely holding out for an English version.

AoA, still price gouging anime fans. No surprise, really, because enough people *are* willing to pay that price, so AoA has no incentive to lower it. Oh well. If it was reasonably priced, I might well have bought this (I liked the game). As it is... I'm not.

Even with the sarcasm, there's still a big difference - DVD's not dead yet, much as Bluray enthusiasts like to believe it is.

And when I read this news earlier, I literally almost bit my lip hard enough to draw blood. Unhappiest I've been with an announcement in a long while. So much for me getting to see these movies anytime soon.

I concur. I would be shocked if Aniplex doesn't already have access to this and couldn't have Bang/Zoom dubbing this one in time for its release here.

Given the woeful status of dubs with the Madoka movies I am not brimming with confidence that AoA will do us a solid and allow us to pay through the nose for a dubbed version of this at any point.

What is wholly inexcusable though is that they're not going to subtitle all of the video content. That is assuredly within the "realm of possibilities" as well as reasonable. Don't cheap out on me when you're charging "premium" prices!

Not too surprising. Only difference from my original prediction on this release is I thought Aniplex would have a limited theatrical run as well.

It's not dead yet, but it should be. There's really no reason for people to not move onto BD. BD players are cheap these days and the quality jump from 480 on DVD to 720 or 1080 on BD is well worth it.
