WTF? We need Yoh Asakura from Shaman King more than these two. Bring it!

Ok, if we get these two, but don't get Medaka & Tsuna, (and possibly Kumagawa or Enma/Byakuran/Xanxus), I'll be mad.
But seeing that these whoevers made it in means that the game is likely to have a huuuuuuuge lineup, that'll have basically ALL of the most notable main/title characters, and some of their rivals.

I'm loving these slightly more obscure choices, will make the game even better!

That caveman guy must be like super hugely obscure. I looked him up on google and I could barely even scrap together who or what he is from. The only thing I could find was an OVA of him. Now that's obscure right there.
I know who the flute guy is though, he's pretty cool and funny. I wish he was playable and the other guy was support but oh well. Roster is still looking good.

People, you're forgeting one simple detail, the characters are from the famous titles of the magazine and not the ones that are known in the west! Both "Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar" and "Chinyūki -Tarō to Yukaina Nakama-tachi" aren't obscure titles in Japan.
For sometime I'm being wanting to read "Pyu to Fuku! jaguar" That is still being translated right now, even though it ended three year ago.
About the other title I remember seeing covers of it. He even had a cover with Arnold Schwarzenegger, yes you read well, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER!!!

Well, I would say that Chinyuki is obscure, even in Japan. It only lasted 6 volumes during its 1991 run in WSJ, and didn't get a sequel until 2009 (which ran in Business Jump), not to mention the creator hasn't done any real identifiable work. Sure, it got adapted into an OVA in 2009, but that was likely because the sequel was starting up at that time. If anything, Chinyuki's inclusion is probably meant to act partially as an advertisement for maybe a new release of the manga or something.
Personally, though, I would have preferred Masaru Hananakajima from Sexy Commando Gaiden over Jaguar, but beggars can't be choosers.
Anyway, I'm all for "obscure" characters being included into J-Stars... It's probably the only way I can hope for characters like Ryuji Takane from Ring ni Kakero 1 (Pegasus Seiya will obviously be included, but another Kurumada rep would be awesome) or Hareluya Hibino from Hareluya II BØY.

By the way, everywhere else I'm reading about these new characters is saying that only Taro will be playable; Jaguar is in the game solely as a support character. Therefore, people can start hoping for "non-combat" characters to be included as support characters in the game.

If it's true that one of those is only a support character, maybe my hopes of some Katsura representation will come true after all.
