but also about as memorable as, well, something that I can't quite remember right now.
Ba-dum-tish!
precipice of preciousness
For some reason I really loved this phrase.
All in all seems like a pretty fair review. I enjoyed the show myself, but it's quite true that there just isn't a lot of substance.

I kind of liked this show but boy was it lousy. It was cute but pretty bad in every way apart from visuals.
Oh, it had the best OP of the season, though. It's the only one I still listen to. That riff that follows the chorus is practically face-melting, and the vocals are strident and fitting.

I definitely liked Leviatan far more than it objectively deserved.
Also how can you go through that entire review and not actually mention Syrop? I mean...what the hell?

She's in the synopsis twice as "syrup".
Did TAN use different subtitles to Crunchyroll? CR used both "Syrop" and "Leviatan".

It was an oasis of harmless fun every week. I really enjoyed it. I hope they'll make more.

Concur on the review - more fun to watch than I would've thought, but there's not a lot of "there" there.
I really enjoyed the ED song by PASSPO, "Truly".

Nothing of the sort! Oh sure, if you glance only at its surface, but how can the discerning viewer fail to notice the clear parallels between Syrop's heroic efforts to mobilize a defense force against the deadly Toripu and Winston Churchill's drive to oppose the Nazi menace?!?
...
Heh. Nah, it's just as Carl says. I had flirted with dropping the show in the early going but ended up enmeshed in gooey ennui and stuck around to the end.
