Maybe now I can finish it. The series was surprisingly good if a bit too ambitious at times. The sci-fi elements were kinda meh, but the awkward teenage interactions were pure heartwarming gold.

Hopefully this is a sign that other Tokyopop titles will soon follow suit...

It never stay, it never stay in print

And Stu Levy don't take the hint

But that's okay

Manga is sweet

It cool

It the Off*Beat

Not very elegant, but so noble in spirit! I wonder if anybody will get this. Man, I miss Sheep in the Big City.

This article gives some more information about the upcoming publication, and about Chromatic Press itself and what its founders hope to accomplish. I'm pretty excited for their plans :)

This is good news. I had wondered what happened to this title. We picked up the first two and then there's was a update that the artist was still trying to get the 3rd book out or they were trying to see who would get it published when Tokyopop closed shop. But glad to know the rest is getting released.

YES. I totally get that reference. I was even thinking of it when I heard the title.

Agreed... mostly. I was quite glad to see someone interested in rescuing with both an electronic AND PHYSICAL release. However, the other article quotes them as saying only the "most popular" will see print release. Wishing them well [enough to release more print volumes].

Hi! I'm from Chromatic Press.

Although our primary distribution channel will be digital, like most manga/book readers, we have an insatiable love of printed materials as well. We just have to step into the physical realm very, very carefully, since it's an extremely risky marketplace right now for an independent publisher. (There are very few independent, physical manga publishers right now for this very reason, and some of them, such as DMP, are STRONGLY pushing their digital arm.) Off*Beat will definitely be in print, and we'll evaluate every other series for potential print as well. We'll have more details once the series start running in our digital magazine this summer.
