I have a soft spot for this show, I will probably buy this since they never finished the anime.

Sweet, I've wanted to continue reading this one. A shame the anime stops where it does, before Kouta becomes a man.

I bought MB's release of the anime. I placed a pre-order for the first Kanokon light novel with TRSI on 4 Aug '08, and I'd still buy it if 7Seas ever got around to releasing it. I have almost no interest in the manga at the moment...

I detested the anime adaptation but wasn't too displeased by the manga. I may consider getting it.

Even if you couldn't stand the anime, give the manga a chance. XEBEC really "pulled a GONZO" (i.e. Rosario + Vampire) on the anime and basically took the characters and basically created a fanservice/light hentai series which had VERY few elements of the REAL story included.
Don't let this fool you. The manga is actually really good and actually has a *GASP* plot. I highly recommend this manga (as it's Seven Seas and has a 99.999999% chance of being a really good translation) to you guys. Although it's got some fanservice, etc. in it, it's NOWHERE as extreme as the anime. Also, you'll finally get to learn why everybody is so hot on Kouta. Oh, Kouta actually isn't the wimp that the anime portrays him to be.
This series is as good as bought. ^__^

That is actually a negative for me.

But those are both positives.
I will definitely give the first volume a try.
