I hope this isn't a troll again.
After the way they setup the first film, I'd assume the Yoshiwara arc would be the next adaption.
If this is true though, I can't wait to see what Hideaki Sorachi will come up with.
Love Gintama and missing the series already.
Hoping it comes back sometime next year.

A One Piece movie and Gintama movie for next year... yup everythings good for me again. I hope it actually is a new story, not that the troll movie was all that bad but I'd rather have a movie that's actually original. I can't wait to hear more news on this.

Need another television anime soon. News about another movie is great but after the ending of the second continuation I felt like my weekly dose of random nonsense was complelety gone.
Personally, I can't remember an single episode in the second series were I didn't find myself writhing on the ground, laughing out loud with tear in my eyes (With the exception of an few serious moments)
Please come back Gintama, I need a good laugh each week...

I can't see Gintama being back on in October.
It only ended in March.
I think it will probably be reruns and then it will start up again April 2013.

Interesting. The time slot in which the anime will return in October is currently held by Sket Dance. I wonder what will happen to the Sket Dan come October then? A move? An ending?
Of course I'm excited to see Gintama get an original movie. I hope this will be good.

The sketches somehow look like the Tendochuu arc.

I'm wondering if/ hoping they'll start alternating every six months with SKET Dance. That way we never have to go a full year without either.
I find it odd that they'd suddenly drop SKET Dance half way through its second year for Gintama reruns, it's not like SKET is that close to the manga yet. It could last for its second full year if they wanted.
Moreover, dropping SKET for Gintama reruns would be pretty insulting. Unless they're that desperate to keep Gintama at the front of people's minds that they figure reruns are better than nothing.
