Kinda surprised they wanna take a risk on a newer series when there's a chance it could axed on the japanese side of things...well I hope it lasts a while at least.

Damn Viz. I believe this is the first time they ever took a risk with a brand-new series from an unproven author that could be canceled in Japan at any time.

Bulge's first two chapters were very enjoyable, at any rate. It was funny and serious in all of the right places and the world is quite the spectacle.

Hey another new series! I guess with this and the new Rurouni Kenshin I'll have to start reading those issues of Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha I "have".

This is a really, really bold choice.... Something really new?

I think the reason for this is that it has a chance to gain a fanbase, instead of put putting something like Reborn in that is going to have a slim audience.

I think that's the point. They want to see if American readers dig it, even if the Japanese don't. And they might sell it exclusively to us in TPB form, if that happens.

Love it. This is what I wanted to see SJA branch out to: taking chances on newer series.

I'd be floored if they picked up some non-battle manga in the future, but I'm quite pleased with this choice.

Viz trying to get on the ground floor up before in case it becomes popular with everybody following it on scanlations. Laughing

If you can wait till the print volumes are out (I'm pretty sure they will...) I don't see the problem with it first being in the magazine.

That sounds like a whole load of "Let them eat cake" to me.

Super excited about this, it's by the same mangaka as Oumagadoki Dobutsuen, which I ADORED. Interesting that they picked up a series from a fairly new artist though! I hope it does well!

And about the region-lock stuff… yeah, it's really annoying and blocks a lot of people out, but we can only hope that WSJA will do well and Shueisha will allow Viz to sell it to other countries. Because there is little chance that it's Viz deciding that they don't like providing services to people that want it.

Which is fine for me, I'll read this though hook and or crook and then get the print version whenever they partain to provide any service to me wahtsoever.

I am consumer, ergo my basic whims (IE: I wish to buy this) should be catered to. That's business 101.

Also it's more money, and who doesn't like that?!
