I know he's a fictional anime character, but I can't understand why they would want to celebrate the birthday of character that's portrayed as a serial killer who murders kids because he's bored. Mad

True,xD but he looks so happy ;P. and besides It's the Fate/Zero cafe... kids shouldn't even be in there due to stuff like this ( characters like Ryunosuke)

cche, I was thinking exactly the same thing.

(And why are they drawing him and Pedo-rapist-creeptacular Gilles de Rais looking all fluffy and happy??? It's not cute!! Their "beautiful friendship" is based on dismembering children...! @__@;;; )

Yeah he's a creep and I don't approve of his actions, but he is so child like in his excitement it's hard not to smile when you see him get excited. I have the same kind of reaction with Ladd Russo in Baccano!

Well as far as the moral concerns with celebrating the birthday of a serial killer, as long as they do this for all the characters birthdays, then I don't think it would be wrong or creepy.

Fun Fact...if you look at fan arts of Fate/Zero characters in Gelbooru.

Ryunosuke's are often by FAR the happiest and cheeriest fanarts. Especially when he's paired with Jeanne d'Arc and Caster...

Aw, c'mon people. It's great because it's absurd! Look at the widdle Lovecraftian monsters in their widdle party hats.

Sure, they're evil...but they have the best relationship of all the Master/Servant pairs. Ryunosuke and Gilles are so supportive of each others' endeavors, and have such respect and admiration for their accomplishments! ...even if they accomplish nothing but the horrific murders of innocent children.

Also, tentacle monsters in party hats.

That placemat is so cute, wish I was in Japan...

Considering the birthdays for Kiritsugu (Nov. 11) and Kotomine (Dec. 28) already passed they may have just recently thought of doing these events. They're also celebrating Iri's birthday (Feb. 1) on the same day as Ryuunosuke, but to a lesser extent probably because her food/drink items have been available since the 17th of this month.

Also servant characters don't have set birthdays so don't expect to see any events for them Razz
