Still, you have to admire the achievement. It's gotta be the largest (in scale) bootleg ever produced...
...and that's saying something |

Yes, China, an original design does not mean taking a pre-existing Gundam robot and painting it orange.
(And probably with lead based paint...I hope they have signs out warning people not to lick it.) |

So if red mobile suits are three times faster, what orange ones? Three times more resistant to colds due to the vitamin c? Oh wait that got debunked... three times more juicy?

It looks like is going to fall down really soon, or burn when "they are going to light up the Christmas night"....... I'm sorry but this is the first Acid Jazz Mobile Suit I ever seen

So they say it's original yet it even has the same abbreviations on it's shoulders? The only thing original about the design is that it'll burn if someone has the nylon catch on fire. China, I am disappoint.

Yeah i was looking at the shoulders and chest too. It's incredible how they can deny that ,that is not a direct copy. No shame.

You gotta admire the nerve of the Chinese to rip something off and then say "What? This is an original work" with a straight face when people call them out on it. I am very bemused by this.
Of course, at the same time, I am outraged at the way China and Chinese companies can get away with things just because no-one wants to piss them off. If they want to be a major power in the global community, then they should take on major responsibilities too, like having proper recourse for those whose trademarks are flouted. Matters of originality aside, one expects the extra two metres in stature would be marred somewhat by the choice of cladding. |

I bet they'll put an Optimus Prime head on it. They have a few options.
And I barely believed before that that statue was 15 meters, but now they want us to believe it's BIGGER than the Japanese statue? Yeah, OK, sure. But man, I'm kinda disappointed this thing isn't covered in cheap chrome, the hallmark of a Chinese bootleg. Emerje Last edited by Emerje on Sun Dec 19, 2010 7:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |
