Everything about this sounds promising.

But has Yamamoto "reached the level of director" yet? I for one hope not because it is funny to hear him joke about it (pretty sure he did that on the Kannagi commentary).

It's gonna be about a group of girls and how they eat different types of foods different from each other.

Okay now that that's out of the way, I hope it ends up being funny. I havn't laughed at an anime SINCE kannagi I think.

since this is his own project, there's less chance of being fired from it right? Razz

anyways, dunno what it's about but I already like the fact that he's working on it and the fact that it's a an original production, which is a rarity the past few years. I hope the latter allows a show to have a proper ending for once.

When I read the word critic and saw the name Yamamoto I thought this was going to be about him going off on Kyoani again. Kind of disappointed actually. Laughing

I'll probably watch whatever it is due to Yamamoto's track record, but I hope we get a second season of Kannagi eventually. Even if Eri Takenashi never resumes the manga, I understand there's easily enough previously-published material left to be animated, especially if it's bulked up with filler.

Rest assured there will be an opening with dancing and pop music.

I wouldn't call Hiroki Azuma an otaku "critic" so much as I'd call him an otaku "scholar." But really, seeing him actually writing for an anime anime is what's making me immensely interesting.

Oh? What's so interesting about you?

Seriously, though. I'm interested too.

Indeed, Azuma-sensei participation is the most interesting part of this project.

I have just finished reading "Otaku : Japan's database animals", a very revealing and interesting book.
