Wow. I didn't know there was going to be a third film. I found a VHS copy of the first one and still have yet to see it. From clips I've seen, it looks amazing. I loves me some cyberpunk.

I've just seen some trailers and footage from the original. I should note that I like cyberpunk: futurist musings on the intertwining of human and technological affairs often enthuse me.

What I saw here was simply horrific though. It is abound with sequences of what I'd describe as metallic gore, replacing a thematic emphasis on the interaction between electronics and humanity to that between metal and flesh. I think I have found the limits of my appreciation for works adhering to cyberpunk criteria. I'll stick to the Tetsuo of Akira fame, methinks.

On an unrelated note, don't Asmik Ace make video games?
