Bares noting since this article was posted it's expanded to eight, so seems like they're going to be rolling them out relatively quickly, at least initially.

Are there any chances that Nintendo and Pokemon Company USA will make the Japanese version of the episodes available in the US given that more people including school age kids are watching anime in their original Japanese voices?

Oh, that and school age kids with good or above average reading level are having access to internet to look up and find out (via several Pokemon fandom wikia pages) that Ash's Japanese name is Satoshi, etc... You have school age kids that are not only watching Pokemon, but One Piece, Naruto, My Hero Academia, Dragonball, and other popular mainstream shonen titles one way or another, all of these titles I mentioned have Japanese voice options for them to watch and it's widely acknowledged amongst child psychologists and child development experts have said subtitles (& closed captioning) are helping kids with their reading skill, and turning on subtitles but set the audio to not English seems to help school age kid with their reading skills too, I believed I have said this in the past ANN forum thread about that. So that's the benefit of having the original Japanese voice version available to the international audiences in the US and elsewhere. So I keep scratching my head when they're going to make the Japanese voice version available given that we're living in an era where mainstream shonen anime are being streamed with their Japanese voice, and it's not unusual for kids anime to be picked up and streamed subtitled online (a lot of time, they don't have English dub made for them) thanks to Crunchyroll and Discotek. So what's keeping Nintendo and Pokemon USA from joining the make Japanese voice, English subtitled version available for kids to watch.

I'm glad there's a new place to watch the anime but the rollout of this channel has been weird. They're just slowly adding the show episode by episode instead of by season. They don't seem to be listed in order either and none of the official Pokemon or Nintendo Twitter accounts have made any announcement about the channel and we still don't know how much of the anime they will stream.

It is not just the english dub, much like Netflix you can select the audio you want.

I still want the Japanese audio version to be made available for US/international audiences. I mean kids that are watching Pokemon are very likely also watching other anime like One Piece, Naruto, My Hero Academia, or any mainstream shonen anime titles. All of them have subtitled version that kids can watch. Hell, they could be watching Cardfight!! Vanguard too alongside Pokemon. And unlike Pokemon, Cardfight!! Vanguard has subtitled episodes available alongside the English dub. I want to remind people on ANN that Bushiroad, the IP holder and creator of that franchise has already started to put up/offer subtitled version of Cardfight!!! Vanguard and it's related titles on streaming (I know because I found official subtitled version of that show on Crunchyroll and Youtube). If Bushiroad can offer subtitled version of Cardfight Vanguard!!!, then why and how come Nintendo and Pokemon Company USA didn't thought about putting Japanese-language English subtitled version of their Pokemon episodes on there.

And I know there are young kids (very mature young kids) out there that are watching those Pokemon show and at the same are also watching the mainstream shonen anime titles (and I assume Cardfight!! Vanguard) I mentioned above probably in subtitled and maybe one or 2 kids are asking "Wait, if I can watch My Hero Academia, One Piece, Naruto, and Cardfight!! Vanguard in Japanese with English subtitles, then why can't I watch Pokemon in that way too, I want to hear Pokemon in Japanese just like I watched Cardfight!! Vanguard." Yeah, I have no doubt there are mature young kids that are asking that question.

That's why I want Japanese audio on there, because kids out there that are watching Pokemon are probably the same kid watching other anime out there with subtitles on.
