For manga readers (because I'm not): Poor Hina never has a chance to begin with, doesn't she?

I am so happy with this adaptaion, it is so pretty.

I have been reading the manga since day got released so i am so glad it is good, i am a bit sadden that this season is gonna end just as the best side character gets introduced.

Maybe the manga strongest suit is it's way of banlanceing it's romance, character drama and Sports action to perfection, and also it's pace.

This has been such a fun watch and really can’t wait to watch more! My only disappointment with this being a Netflix exclusive is it might not get a blu-ray release which is a shame as I would love to own this physically.

Our leads have great (and believable) teenage chemistry. Yeah a lot of the story beats are familiar to the point of (and beyond) cliche. But this show delivers them with sincerity, style and heart, and therefore manages to sell them well.

Nope, solidly in the losing childhood friend role here methinks. She should scoot over to Makeine, she'd fit right in. (The little glimpses of her dancing in the OP are beautifully done though, so I am looking forward to the studio busting out some top tier animation for her at some point)

I kind of wish Netflix wasn't behind the Japanese broadcast but otherwise I have no complaints about this adaption.

The animation is great, the voice acting is great, the direction is solid, and it really captures the vibe of a youth romance in the world of sports with likeable characters putting their all into athletics and romance.

Also animation has made Chinatsu and Hina even prettier/cute.

Akari Kito voicing two likeable and charming girls with Losing Heroine vibes in one season? Wow.

There's a dub confirmed, if you check SAG-AFTRA Signatory Search. It's just not simuldubbed for some reason.

If the English dub is only a few weeks behind, I’ll be fine with it, but I hope they’re not saving the dub for a binge release or anything.

Hah, he's always a downer to Taiki, but it turns out Glasses-kun is a top tier wingman.

Haryu is a good mentor, playful but committed and he knows how to motivate Taiki...especially when it comes to Chinatsu. Just be careful you don't tick off Chinatsu.

It's so sweet how much Taiki and Chinatsu both motivate and inspire each other mutually.

"Girls in athletics can change anywhere!" - Good to know! Just...be considerate of changing around a guy! Just like Chinatsu is self-conscious at Taiki's killer abs.

Kyo is a good friend/wingman. He tells it like it is, maybe too much so, but he chips in where it counts.

Heck, I'd be self conscious around his abs. The guys a greek sculpture apparently! Probably a good accidental move on Taiki's part to show them off like that though, if he wants to shift Chinsatsu's mental image of him from "cute junior with a good work ethic" to "wow, hottie!".

The way the sports angle is handled in the manga is pretty similar to be honest. With a few exceptions, the badminton stuff is usually second fiddle (at best) to the romance scenes.

My main thoughts watching this episode were "Poor James! Look at all those carefully rendered fish faces!" It feels like the anime world has it in for him this season.

I'm waiting for the dubbed version to be released, the show seems pretty good.

It's getting a dub, at least here in Latin America the credits for the Neutral Spanish dub for episodes 1 and 2 have been found, curiously, Taiki shares her voice with Okarun, Chinatsu has Anya Forger's voice and Hina shares her voice with Hitori Gotoh and Torako Koshi. I can't wait to hear that version

Can't beat an aquarium date! Especially with Chinatsu in a dress.

I get the vibe Chinatsu is way more self-conscious and aware of (and interested in) Taiki than he realizes or is willing to acknowledge.

Kyo is the ultimate wingman. For anybody!

Oh poor Hina (and I guess to a certain extent Chinatsu). Trying to wingwoman by gushing over a guy to his crush...while also basically making said crush realize you are crushing on the guy you're gushing about. And then you find out they're living together...
