It's weird to see Gon as the cover art when the upcoming volume is about the origins of the Phantom Troupe. Buhhh.

Togashi wrote in the author's comment: "The character of Gon does not appear in this volume. Thanks for understanding"

Not sure if he was making a tribute to somebody or just a gag in general.

maybe like celebrating the manga being continued. That's how it feels from gon's pose anyways.

thats saying it lightly.

The series has been on hiatus more than published.
theres reason its memed and theres a literal github that tracks its publihsing and hiatus over the years. https://hiatus-hiatus.github.io/


Only reason people keep following it is because he did make a great series & people want o know how it continues. (and we hope it doesnt end up like berserk where he dies before finishing it due to all the hiatus)
