Surprised you didn't already know Detective Conan is a massive franchise there. Detective Conan's ongoing anime, manga, and yearly movies are quite a big deal in Japan.

Yes, very big, the manga salles are great, and the audience of the anime is always on top 5, and the movies too get these crazy numbers.

But yes, it is wicked popular in Japan. A Conan movie even beat Avengers: Endgame at one point, IIRC.
