I dont really buy dvds from EB games anyway, so its no biggie for me. But for some people who depend on EB games for anime dvds, its gona be hard for them.

Well, apparently a lot of EB employees were purchasing DVD's... But it is a shame as EB usually had things on day 0 and their stores are everywhere. It's a big loss to the visibility of anime.

I wasn't surprised that EB hasn't got any in stock due to its popularity. There are other places you can check out too.
- JB Hifi
- Books Kinokuniya (Sydney)
- HMV
- Sanity (For some odd reason, they put that in under "Children" O.O)
- Borders (Never checked it out but you'll never know)

Rinoa | Kawaii Miko- Sanity (For some odd reason, they put that in under "Children" O.O)...

I know!!! my local Blockbuster store has Blood Trinity, Akira, Paranoid, Ghost in the Shell etc... in the Kids section?? what are they thinking..??

hufhuf Anime smile I know I would be considered a kid (22 but giggles at anything, twirls and makes loud abnoxious noises) but still ... -_- *

PS: the problem with EB is they never had a consitent numbers of chapters for a series, they would have chapters 1,5,6,8,9 of an anime but never a decent chunk, so you sort of shrug and say i'll get it another time.

PPS: I love KINO!!, *muamua I love the picture books they have, I just bought the guy who did Burst Angel *googly eyes *kawaiiiii they're so cute! and eyeing Death Note, looks sooo cooooool...

Well the problem comes with holding stock. If the stock is left sitting on your shelves you're losing money. Therefore most stores try to keep just enough stock to sell it reguarly while not letting their stock stagnate.

A lot of PnP stores do this.

Evil or Very Mad Anime should be sold wherever buyers wish. I mean we are the buyers and it is EBgameses responsibility to meet the customers request, right Question

Umm, No.

Stores will stock anime as long as it is profitable. Anime has obviously not been selling well enough at EB so they decided to cut it. It's as simple as that. If EB doesn't have it we have to go elsewhere, and as the majority of us already was there's no real problem.

JB-Hifi is as widespread as EB Games (in Perth anyway) and sells way more anime than EB Games ever did. It has a huge collection of box-sets, singles and films for those of you who have a lot of money on hand. It's pretty expensive depending on the anime, but they have sales often enough to make it less painful.[/advertising]

Thats the same for me, JB is proberly the best place to buy anime. Kinokunyia in sydney is another good place to buy anime and manga, however i believe its more expensive buying dvds from Kinokunyia where as JB is cheaper.

BTW Sonictail, since when did you become the ANN.au editor in Chief?, i never noticed it up unitl now.
