Oh dude, I love animal crossing!

The one for the DS is such a huge improvement over the gamecube version that it's not even funny.

...

can't understand the site though, is there a trailer anywhere?

I am envious of the relatively short time between the announcement of this movies and its theatrical release. The Death Note movie was pretty quick to arrive too.

Wow. The anime looks almost as boring as the game itself. I wonder how much of each episode will be devoted to paying off your mortgage.

It's a movie, not a series.

It would be cool if a group fansubbed this, I would totally watch it. I actually hope it gets licensed. It probably will, since the Nintendo DS is a pretty popular handheld. Preferably by Funimation, ADV, or Geneon. I would totally NOT watch this if it was licensed by 4kids.

Ouch my brother will be angry if he happens to see that, and also as noted it's a movie. But I got to say I am not that interested the game was ok in my opinion but I have lots of friends who are die hard fans of the game.

I also need someone to come by my shop so I can finally get the final upgrade

But yeah, I wanna watch this out of sheer curiosity as to what the hell it's gonna be all about (advertisement for the game, obviously)

...

Ya, I'm a die hard fan of the game. The game's quite a bit different from most games. The only one I can think of similar to it is Harvest Moon (which I also love). It's also probably the most time consuming and addicting non-online game I've ever played (have spent more time on it than most RPGs). But I can see how it can be boring to some people. I still love it though. Still my favorite game on the DS by far.

The DS version is crazy... I think I've played it pretty much everyday ever since the DS Lite came out.

This is probably due to its portability that makes it so much more playable than the GC version (and again, there's dozens of improvements that it's not funny).

I played it a lot while I was at summer school. Helps pass the boredom when I don't have class.

Oh, yeah, the movie... the art style is pretty tight. It's totally close to the game.

I just bought the DS game yesterday, and I'm loving it. I have a little hermaphroditic boy character that wears pink shirts, has a ribbon-infested pink umbrella, a pretty halo, and a room full of pink furniture. Laughing I'm interested in friend codes too, so PM me if anyone's interested.

The encyclopedia entry for it has a 2D picture, so I'd assume it'll be a regular anime.

Oops, I stand corrected. ; ) I've only ever played the DS version, and since I'm not really a fan of playing things on a small screen, that may have hampered my enjoyment of the franchise. Or maybe I just didn't like doing work in a video game. Anime hyper
