Baby steps people. Baby steps. It will be a good day when Nintendo starts to sell the soundtracks for the majority of their games. I would prefer some physical cds though.
Edit: Actually, I recall now that HAL is technically independent, like Game Freak, so they probably are much more willing to sell their soundtracks vs Nintendo proper. And Game Freak has been selling their Pokemon soundtracks for several years now. |

No, I've never seen that one put on iTunes or the like. There is, however, a Sound Selection for Super Mario Odyssey. |

They did give away some cds as part of the Club Nintendo program, but only in Japan. Some are still available through 3rd parties and can be pretty pricey. |

Yup, the Mario Galaxy OSTs were Club Nintendo exclusives. Nintendo has been very selective in the past about what game soundtracks they issue as standard releases, but they've been getting better the past few years, maybe because Club Nintendo is no more.
I would still like to see more progress on this front, though. That said, today's news is welcome. The asking prices for Kirby CDs can really shoot up in the after-market when they go out of print. I have hard copies of two of the three albums mentioned in this article (don't think Kirby Memorial Arrangements was ever released on CD), but even so, I'm glad that they're being made available digitally so that more people can enjoy them. |
