*shakes his head and sighs* Why? WHY must this devolve into something like that?

Sweet grab, by the way.

Hmm, according to this blogger, it seems that the MAiDs' purpose assists royalty and politicians so they're not really your "every-day maids." Besides, Sunrise has done a pretty good job on fooling the viewers especially the way they handled those Mai-HiME previews.

What's with the 夏/natsu/summer on the title on the entry itself and the article? ^^;

Judging by the furigana above the title, I think the full title is supposed to be "Mai Star MAiD"...

Not sure what to think of the new title, but I guess that depends on what 'MAiD' stands for. I'm assuming/hoping it won't be what it first sounds like.

Does this have to do with the first Mai Hime serie? Or is this a spark of the Mai trademark? The purple hair girl looks like the one from the first series...Looks interesting...I hope to see it soon.

Where did you get the idea about fanservice?

There's nothing about it on the image, so why worry.

When Mai HiME was first announced, people thought "Dancing Princess, its about girls dancing". And look how that turned out.

Just wait until it's released. It might actually be good.

You're kidding me right? Shocked

I mean we went from something totally different to this? Shocked

Oh well. I'm sure it could be interesting.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!! Laughing

I can't stop laughing. Where 'Fuka' academy possibly teaches you maid skills. Well, it is a school of many trades.

BUT WAIT hold on, I think they got another trick up their sleave.

Remember 'Mai-HiME'?

Remember the title has a lot of different meanings. We already know that the "mai" means dancing and yes it was true that it didn't have nothing to do with dancing at all. Funny thing is people seemed to have forgotten that the character 'Mai', has the same "kanji" in her name as the title. Which made her place as a central character all the more obvious. Just nobody hit on it.

Also, getting back to the title, remember 'HiME' means "princess" and that WAS a point made in the show, but it also refers the "elemental" skills they each had as well. The acronomic breakdown of the title:

Hi=Highy-Advanced
M=Materializing
E=Equipment

Chances are Mai MAiD will have a similar breakdown as well. C'mon no one noticed the way it's spelled this time? Rolling Eyes
And if I'm wrong then it will be a show about "maids", BUT WITH POWER!! .

I'll tell you one thing the new character is going to take me getting used to. I don't really like that outfit, but hey I'm in. Very Happy

Wonder if this is another incarnation of 'Mashiro'?

Why would anyone be sad about this? This is pure Otaku Joy... maintream anime viewers just need stay clear. It's all LOVELY.

I thought the first season had great animation... I'm not otaku enough to enjoy the fanservice but I'll watch any anime with Kajiura-sensei's music. If she's also doing this series I'll definately take a look.

The 夏姫 in 夏姫☆MAiD is a female name, most likely Natsuki, however it can also be read Kaki, Natsushi, or (big important one here) Natsuhime. However those last three are less common if I remeber correctly (could be off, god only knows). Got this from good ol' Jim Breen's WWWJDIC.

So literally, Natsuki-Star-MAiD, or Natsuhime-Star-MAiD, and so on...hope that helps.

you'd think the copout ending, and the videogame would have told you they were aiming at making Mai Hime a marketing gimmick
