ABOUT TRAVIS JAPAN
Travis Japan is a dynamic seven-member dance and pop sensation from Tokyo, blending modern, jazz, and hip-hop into electrifying performances. Formed in 2012 with guidance from legendary choreographer Travis Payne (known for work with Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga), the group has soared to acclaim in Japan and beyond. They've headlined their annual Japanesque spectacle TORA JA -NINJAPAN- and sold out three consecutive shows at Yokohama Arena (17,000 capacity) in 2020, followed by a 12-city national tour in 2021.
Their precision-driven dance routines and infectious pop sound caught global attention after appearing on World of Dance and America's Got Talent, leading to a 2022 signing with Capitol Records/UMG. Their debut single, “JUST DANCE!”, made history as the first by a Japanese act to crack the Top 5 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart, surpassing 10 million views.
In 2023, their debut album Road To A (symbolizing their quest for authenticity) showcased their artistic identity. By 2024, singles “T.G.I. Friday Night” and “Sweetest Tune” dominated Billboard Japan's charts, both hitting No.1 on the Download Songs chart and No.2 on the HOT 100. That year, they embarked on their 'Road to Authenticity' nationwide arena tour and launched a sold-out six-city world tour, cementing their international appeal.
In December 2024, they dropped their sophomore album VIIsual, featuring their 2024 chart-toppers alongside the bold new single “B.O.$.$.Y”. The release capped a landmark year, proving Travis Japan's unstoppable momentum as they redefine global pop with high-octane performances and genre-blurring creativity.
