This is one of the few shows that looked appealing to me coming into this season, and after its first three episodes it is more or less what I expected: a crazy action show with edginess. I seriously doubt this show will eventually have an interesting story and deep characterization, but it is so far pushing the right buttons for me.

Just got the first two manga volumes in today and I'm excited to read them (Then read the rest of the chapters online). Really enjoying this anime in presentation and concept. Cool fight scenes and interesting characters. Il so far is my favorite character, badass lolis are usually a weak spot of mine, hope she becomes a good guy later on and doesn't die. Also looking at the manga, the fanservice is WAY turned down in the anime, but even then I don't mind the fanservice since it doesn't really interrupt anything and it's nice to look at <_<. Dat yuri kiss and butt grab was awesome btw, completely unexpected.

I won't say the series is bad but it could be better at some points. Sometimes I think the anime can be a bit too quick paced, like it's rushing to get somewhere. I still enjoy it a lot. I just hope it improves some. But the fighting scenes r very good. Can't wait for the nect episode!!

This has got to be a contender for the worst name ever. It's not bad or good (yet) and seems to be shooting for generic action anime of the season.

Worst name? That actually goes to 'Bluesy Fruesy'. Seriously, can anyone tell me if this is a legitimate American name? |

"Bluesy Fruesy" is the dumbest anime name ever! I just can't get over how silly it is. I sure hope the author picked it on purpose, and doesn't actually think anyone in America has that name.
Loved the cat speak in ep 3. Did anyone else think for a moment that Touko's new tattoo granted power was understanding cats? That would have been cool, if completely pointless. Nothing much to add to the review. I don't like the CGI tracking scenes much, and the animation in general isn't much to speak of. The fight scenes are the best part, animation-wise. The fanservice annoys me a bit, some of it really comes out of left field (the princess kissing Shrodinger's Cat, which I was surprised at but okay with at first...until it went on too long and added a butt massage! WTF?) Seigi's all right, and I'm rooting for Touko (calling Seigi her prince put sails on that ship). Izzy's dilemma to keep Seigi's situation secret from the American government in order to protect him from becoming a guinea pig is more interesting to me than the Selistan coup and henchman-in-Japan plot. Questions about the powers: in ep 1, Seigi's power activated with blood, and created the void. He didn't seem to have any control over it. Since than, 1. Seigi's tattoo has been referred to multiple times as the "triggerless tattoo," even though blood is its trigger (to the extent that Izzy went through the trouble of getting a box of donated blood (which should be going bad, since its not being kept cold, but that's besides the point); and 2. Seigi's been actively encouraged to activate his tattoo, but not the void mechanism, even though he's also been told that he can't control the void. How can Seigi use the activated tattoo's power without the void activating by accident? Even Inuyasha's Miroku's wind tunnel power (which was, like Seigi's power, basically a black hole) made more sense and had more control than this. |

If the fanservice is turned down from the manga, I can only imagine how much I has, cause the anime has plenty. I believe Rebecca said she got mixed signals on its fanservice level on account of Izzy's spats. In a word, No. They were certainly not used to protect her modesty so to speak. Though anyone who has seen the works under the spats tag on pixiv would know that's not what they're used for in this sort of thing. From the first episode, what most drew me to the show is the camerawork during the fight scenes, and that hasn't changed, even if it is used unnecessarily as with the stairs. Also I believe the demonym for Selistan would be Selistani, like most other countries that end in stan |

The plot in the first episode was lukewarm at best, but the following 2 episodes rectified it a bit, as the dialog and world-building started to improve a bit. What there is to praise, though, is the cinematography used in the episodes, with episode #3's in particular. The overhead staircase shot was a bit odd, yes, but the shots used in the fight earlier in the episode were quite impressive, and unlike most shows that attempts to recreate that swirlness, here the art looks good throughout the sequence, with some good facial expression & detail.
While this maybe won't have the best of plots out of this Season's shows, its production values are among the finest I've seen recently. |

I can barely contain my rage listening to all these insults directed at the esteemed Fruesy clan. Honestly though, I've worked in call centers for some time now and I wouldn't be surprised to get a Bluesy Fruesy on the line. There's a fair number of weird, Julia Gulia level names out there. Sadly, for obvious reasons, I can't really repeat any of the ones that come to my mind. |

Maybe the mangaka is a Pilots fan. I know I've heard the term bluesy floozie before in some old blues song (like describing a woman who hung out in blues clubs and was always dtf), but I can't place it. The "Fruesy" part would seem to be one of those L-R substitution errors, along with trying to spell it like bluesy. None of this makes it not a stupid name, but I've heard worse. |

really enjoying the action scenes, I got a place for generic competent anime that does one thing right to stand out, in this case this is a generic competent combat anime with some nice fighting scenes.

I actually really liked this episode, and the show as a whole. As a fan of action shows, this is one of the best shows this season. Although, to be honest, there are a lot of good action shows this season, more so than usual I believe. Definitely awesome for me!

I agree with the review, this week was weaker than the previous episodes with a fight that wasn't very good. The tone being all over the place is starting to hurt it.
If Lisa had more characterization before she was kidnapped, I might have cared. I know more about schrodinger's cat (hey, she takes care of animals) and I actually like her better than any other character at this point. |

Lol there was a house there a minute ago.
I think Seigi might play a big part in the next episode. I am still thinking about that cat from last episode. |

This weeks episode gave me major Big Order vibes, and that's not a good thing. If next week's episode is like this, I might drop Taboo Tattoo. I used to just stick with even the most terrible shows but Big Order kinda scarred me.
