If you like these mangas or animes and the world they take place in, Forceria, you may want to take a look at The Dreams of Lodoss.

It's run by a true fan of the Lodoss setting who is working on a transfer for it to latest D&D rules for those who like RPGs. He has also reed most of the novells so there is loads of info on that site, and more is on the way.

It has a new forum dedicated to Record of Lodoss War, Legend of Crystania and Louie the Rune Soldier as they all take place in the same world. As it's new, it's quite empty at the moment but hopefully likeminded people will drop by and talk fantasy in there.

The webmaster and I have started to translate one of the original novells into english (only available in japanese and chinese) to share the original story by Ryo Mizuno.

I hope I'll see someone around there one day.

I appreciate you giving so much fandom and recognition to Lodoss War. I love the OAV (though from what I hear, it's pretty off from the novels, but what manga/novel to anime transaltions aren't) and am thinking of getting the TV series, but just for collector's sake.

The thing about it is, exposing your liking for this and other similar franchises is a little tough to keep up with. I'm sure there are at least a few members that would like to consider participating in or viewing this site, but for the most part, I think a lot of us (members) may have time constraints that can restirct us from doing what we'd like sometimes.

The site does look very interesting though. I'll add it to my Favorites.

I know. I was mostly looking for some feedback now that I'm part of that site as it's quite a big undertaking. The webmaster is a bit concerned that he been getting loads of hits from unique IP numbers in the last days, but none has registered. I know the forum looks a bit empty at the moment, but it's because it's totaly new from a few days back. The old one had many more topics in it.

Overall, I'm just happy that I found that site and at it, someone who likes that world as much as I do. Wanted to point it out to others who liked the anime or manga and possibly wants to have/know more about it and maybe what is to come...

When it comes to time constraints, I know about that. Work, school, social life and so on has it's place... and all the other animes and mangas I go though. Just want to point out that it's not only for those who're really into the world of Forceria. Any simple question about any of the mangas, animes or novel can be asked in there and well as talked about. Nothing is to small or simple to talk about if even just for a short moment. Wink

About the OAV vs manga.... yes, it's totaly different from the War of Heroes and on. But the TV series corrects much of that. Still, the TV series is just that, a TV series. So it hasn't got the same quality in animations and it's made to be PG like many other TV series and so the mangas, Chronicles of the Heroic Knight, are much better.
