This is really to bad. I'd wanted this show to go somewhere, but it looks like they are going to make it a moe fest and nothing else. I dont mind moe at all, but I hate pandering. After seeing the first part of MoonPhase, I could tell it had potential. It really sucks that it will never be anything more then a moe fest now Crying or Very sad .

The tone of Hazuki and Kouhei's changed relationship never feels natural, and worse yet starts devolving into protective male, submissive female gender roles that betray Hazuki's previous flashes of melee-moxy.

It's quite some time since I last saw some episodes of Moon Phase, but wasn't this aspect more or less clear basically due to the onii-chan vs. imouto (cliché)-relationship? There was for example an episode in which Kouhei sermoned Hazuki for using her eye-trick to deceive people - here you are, the big mature male onii-chan tells the unmature female imouto how to behave (in society). It's not exactly protective vs. submissive but it goes into this direction.

After playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, this is going to be such a change of my vampiric pace. Razz

This DVD doesn't sound very promising though...

Ah well, I'll still buy it just to finish the series. Damn my completist tendencies, it knows it got better things to spend money on.

I just finished the 6th volume and really must admit the 3rd and 4rth volume was this series at it's best. Volume and 6 just got really silly, especially with the constant pans falling from the sky. I like the pivotal shift at the end of the house episodes, but found the mountain episodes loses much of the intercharacter dynamics. This is sad considering that I was really excited about this series after watching the 4th volume.

Looks like this show is going down a long road to nowhere. I had wanted them to turn it around for the last volume but from what you just said I guess it wont happen.Yet another show I wasted my money on. Mad
