Ah, another piece of work from Rei Izumi (Idumi, I dunno =/), I shall definitely look into this.
Also, deep story isn't much to be expected from these days in these light hearted magic world mangas or whatever could be used to describe them. A similar title Magical x Miracle from what I remember is also done by Tokyopop and I personally enjoy it. Seeing that it's average is a good thing, as I presume it only got such a rating cause it's the 5th or 6th series out there with this kind of recurring theme. As long as it's done right and the art is good, I'm pretty sure that's what matters most. |

I think it will need another issue to really get a idea where it is going.

Heh, except it's taking forever for a second volume...Well, I guess it would take a while if it's only being slowly serialized in some magazine or something. Don't know if it is.
I find it interesting that Jun Maeda, who created the story, is involved in Key's works, especially the music for AIR and Kanon. |

Gawd, he is not just "involved in Key's works," for Pete's sake. He IS the incarnation and soul of Key, for all stories and music of its games. Check out the old posts I wrote two years ago and two months ago, respectively. Maeda is so important and multitalented that he put too much burden over his shoulder, and he collapsed on the New Year's Eve of 2005/06. He'll retire from game authoring (well, who knows, he's much younger than Hayao Miyazaki) after Little Busters. |
