I once again have no idea who this is but he actually looks like he belongs in a KOF game unlike the soccer player guy.
I do find it a bit funny that none of these celebrity characters are voicing themselves though. |

Gotta be honest, I've never heard of this Salvatore Ganacci dude, though it seems he one made an animated music video that seemed inspired on acton anime. Still, if I were to imagine him as an original SNK fighting game character I'd say his moveset looks kind of original, we had musicians/dancing fighters in previous Fatal Fury game like Duck King and Bob Wilson, though there's a bigger emphasis on the music aspect. The one thing I don't like is his outfit, his face at least doesn't look as bland as Ronaldo's, maybe due to his haircut and glasses, but that sportswear makes him look kind of generic, Shingo also wore a sort of sports uniform in KOF XV, but he looked better, and at least Ronaldo's football uniform was more colorful.
Well, even if both Ronaldo and Salvatore know how to speak in English, they're aren't voice actors, it's very awkward hearing athletes and musicians trying to act. |

He's an industry plant, that's all you need to know. |

Honestly industry plant is putting it nicely. He's a guy who MCs Saudi Arabian golf events and he's in the game because the Saudi prince bankrolling SNK decided to turn this finale of the 30 year Fatal Fury legacy into a vanity project lol |

Considering there wouldn't be an SNK anymore anymore without them I think it's an acceptable trade off to let them have a few vanity slots. At least they didn't pick anyone cringy like Jack Black or Chappell Roan or something. |

Kind of surreal to see an actual person in the game, but hey, he looks fun and we've got Italian Sean Chiplock!

Oh yeah they just instead went with the guy with multiple rape allegations. (I'm referring to Ronaldo, not Ganacci). |

No it’s not? Or do we need to remind you that Saudi Arabia oppresses women, LGBTQ people, and engages in human rights violations especially towards ex-pats? In addition to trying to make people forget about the above via whitewashing.
So they picked a Soccer player many people don’t like and a DJ most people haven’t heard of? |

Just because Americans may not be familiar with these people does not mean no one likes them or cares about them. Cristiano Ronaldo is genuinely one of the greatest football (soccer) players of all time and to deny his legacy to cultures and people familiar with the sport seems crazy to me. You can argue he doesn't belong in a Fatal Fury game but to deny his legacy is something else entirely. |

I’d be willing to bet no one in Portugal or the Slavic countries let alone Saudi Arabia cares or were asking for Ronaldo or Gannaci to be in this game. So this wouldn’t be an “American” problem. This was just done because someone in the company or its board had “ideas” that they wanted to come to fruition no matter how out there and absurd this was.
……We weren’t talking about Ronaldo’s legacy and importance to world of Soccer. Secondly what does his profession as a soccer player have to do with them making him a playable character in game that as far me or you know Ronaldo may or may not have played much less be aware of?
Okay again wasn’t talking about his legacy. The point was trying to play up the Saudi’s buying a stake in SNK and “saving” them from insolvency in no way mitigates the fact that the Saudi Arabia has a repressive regime that has tried to buy it’s way into various areas to influence public perception regarding their aforementioned oppression and human rights violations. Which of course is bad. Ronaldo’s importance to the world of soccer is irrelevant with regards to SNK and Saudi Arabia’s stake in the company. |

You don't play the game anyway so what does it matter to you? If you're only here to get upset and be outraged then that's not productive at all. |

I'm Portuguese. I find Cristiano Ronaldo cringe. And I find the cult of personality surrounding him cringe and sick.
Fight me! I am not debating wether he is or isn't one of the greatest players of all time. He is. But the cult of personality is sickening, he is arrogant, and I am still uncomfortable regarding the Mayorga case. And yeah, to Hell with the whitewashing of the Saudi regime, and the purchasing of European football clubs by monarchs of oppressive, slave labor-dependent regimes. It was already bad enough when we had a Russian oligarch owning one. |

I have played the Fatal Fury games, along with SNK’s other games. If you’re only here to make unfounded accusations that run away from the elephant in the room of carrying water for a repressive government engaging in sports/media washing be my guest. But don’t think you won’t be called to front of the classroom to be lectured on why this is bad. |
