awful and I really have to ask by this point, what's with the sudden surge of webtoon cover? Technically it's not even anime and shouldn't be covered like how western comic news is not covered

I remember someone mentioning that ANN was going to begin covering manhwa/webtoon content, but I forget the context. But this may be the new norm from now on.

The irony of a fair trade commission using AI that actively steals content from artists for training... this world deserves to burn in hell.
Stable Diffusion is the one being sued by artists from DeviantArt, isn't it?

Honestly, at this point it's mostly a filter problem. In an ideal world we'd be able to just filter stuff we don't care about. However it is currently not possible to filter out the stuff you don't want to see. You can only filter out everything else, which does have its advantages but isn't really helpful when you don't want to see a specific category of news. Because you also can't just turn on every filter apart from the one you want to hide, because you'll loose all the news that doesn't have a category associated. Which is mostly the "watch and rate", but could also be something else. Which is why I had to set my country to the US, because I don't care about all the indian, britain and french stuff, but honestly I'd like to hide everything that is local to somewhere, because I live in none of the countries where we get special reports, so I literally don't care. Long story short, I really think ANN should think about upgrading the filter system, to allow users to also hide stuff they don't want to see. And in my opinion that also includes the different topics, like new about AI in general.

Webtoons are popular and often get anime adaptions. Solo Leveling and Tower of God have been pretty huge so there's a lot of crossover.
