That sure is an art style in the Gundam AGE school of "will instantly piss some people off"

I would rather say Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt design, it seems like the mecha combat will take place in a virtual world like Build Divers, so maybe the characters might have a more standardized design as avatar.

Eh. They already pissed people off with the LOGOS designs. That, and the lore retcons and stuff in EVOL. So, divisive choices is typical Aquarion at this point, really

I kept up with the first two franchise installments, but fell off the train with Logos. This art style is pretty much going to assure that I don't climb back on.

I. JUST. CAN'T.

They're targeting the kids market??? Though there is no kids anymore in Japan??? Or they're trying to aim for the international kids market?? Licensing fees can be juicy...

Well, we'll see if people buy it...

The Aquarion design is still on-point but this is a very dramatic style/design change. Are they intentionally aiming this at younger audiences? Will this be Aquarion without all the romance and horniness?

. If there’s no kids in Japan, why is stuff aimed at them like Precure or Shinkalion still successful?. Not to mention Shadowverse anime, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardfight Vanguard, Ultraman, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider

Why is everyone assuming it's going to be for kids just because they're more cartoony than usual?

I'm going to pass on this one. The franchise had a good run.

If watching Kamen Rider has taught me anything is that, even if if looks light-hearted, doesn't mean it will be.

Because these franchises are supported by adults. Have you seen all the ossan going to the movies to watch the precure movie? Have you seen all the ossan players of yugioh and other games like these? Denatality is real. Aiming only at kids market is suicidal to my opinion. If you can make your work liked by adult otaku too, then there is a chance.
