Kind of a weirdly inconsistent statement to say GKIDS has acquired the film for Australia and New Zealand only to then say Charades is in charge of sales to Australia and New Zealand.
Hopefully this ends up in good hands for Australia/New Zealand like SugoiCo. Charades previously sold Belle here to Kismet Films (who also nabbed Pompo the Cinephile) so while we did get a cinema run and even a Blu-ray, the latter felt pretty barebones (we didn't even get it on 4K, let alone any kind of limited edition set) and unfortunately Pompo didn't even release on Blu-ray down here so I don't exactly trust Kismet to deliver the best experience if they do get Colours Within here.

I guess this just means Charades handles distribution, with the right being with GKIDS. For Europe it's kind of the same. PLAION and Anime Ltd. are part of the same company, so they handle distribution themselves in regions they are already active and give it to Charades for other countries. Kinda like in streaming when Sentai acquires global rights for some shows that are distributed by e.g. ADN in France.

Yeah the wording kinda threw me off, but GKIDS's announcement on their website makes it clearer:

It seems Charades has confirmed on their International distributors page that Kismet has acquired the rights in Australia/New Zealand.
