Yeah, my guess is having a kid is what is meant. It's kind of a shame that he decided to stop entirely instead of transition to different content, but I could see where not making it at all is preferable to making something you aren't interested in making.
I recall convention panels with VAs saying they had moved away for certain kinds of content after they had a kid because they didn't want to be embarrassed showing them what they did for work.

I thought the manga was close to winding down anyway. It was announced its final storyline was starting last summer. Is he leaving just before the finish of the series?

That's a shame but I wish him the best. Somewhat on topic but man it's hard to get the 3-4 volume. Last Friday I got email from Rightstuf saying they finally got more and it was in my cart but after around 10 more minutes of extra shopping to get free shipping it was out of stock! I'm this close to getting it digitally or paying an arm and a leg from Barnes & Noble.

Amazon and Books-A-Million both show 3-4 in stock at cover price or better.

Yabuki’s work, while trashy, isn’t nearly as problematic as Booty Royale where there are rape, sexual violence, bestiality, and other depravities all around.

i could never get into this series for those exact reasons. i'm all for trashy horny but this series goes way too overboard with the uncomfortable depravities so i can understand why it might be causing home life difficulties.
