This actually came out? Wow. 2016´s (!) issue 1 was alright and much better looking than your usual licensed comic. Outside of the now rare licensed work by the big 2 and Darkhorse. I´ll guess I´ll check it out. Can´t be worse than the abandoned 8 vol manga. That one really showed that sticking directly to the novel´s plot is a bad idea.

They've had the art complete for a while now, after switching artists following a family tragedy that took Michael Broussard off the project, but publishing was delayed due to the pandemic.

It's not mentioned in the review, but this is currently a Kickstarter exclusive. Retail editions are planned for the future, but in the meantime they're publishing a limited hardcover collector's edition and limited single issue sets with guest covers (and an entry level digital edition).

I'm surprised this got made. I heard some rather dubious things about the crowdfunding campaign. Better late than never I suppose.
