Quote: | Vertical is releasing the original novels in English, and it will begin releasing the manga in October. |
Vertical has been printing the manga since 2019. This makes it seem like this past October. BTW, it's been a fantastic adaptation! OH! Great's artwork is just perfect for this story.

On a similar note, that Vertical is releasing the original novels in English also isn't exactly correct. They released (past tense) up to where the anime ended and seemed to have dropped it.

Which is really frustrating. I started collecting the novels, not only to enjoy the source material, but also in hopes of getting to books that hadn't been animated yet. By the time they were done releasing, Zoku Owarimonogatari had already been animated, and there's seemingly no intention of animating more or translating more, and I should just hurry up and learn Japanese already...

Or you could just read the fan translations.

I also wish they would continue translating NisiOisin's Nonesense (Zaregoto) series novels. Vertical only made it 1 more volume past where Del Rey dropped it before dropping it themselves. Such a disappointment. Maybe if the anime for the first book were licensed it would help the book sales... I'm kind of surprised Shaft only animated 1 book too.

So? Picking up the fan translation where Vertical dropped it, I don't see anything wrong with that.

It kinda feels disrespectful of Vertical to blatantly ignore zaregoto yet release the entirety of katanagatari at such a fast pace and still have time to translate the pretty boy detective series. Vertical doesn't seem to have any interest in Zaregoto sadly.
And yeah, shaft should probably animate the other novels since they're done with the monogatari series for now.
